Beta Rotary Piston Blowers are from the family of twin-shaft rotary machines; the two rotary pistons are held exactly in axially parallel position via two pairs of anti-friction bearings fixed in the casing covers. The pistons are centrally located in the casing. In medium and large size blowers the low-pressure side have a larger clearance. The timing is ensured by a pair of precision ground timing gears to ensure that the rotary pistons rotate without touching each other. The clearance between rotary pistons are kept at a minimum taking care of shaft deflection, thermal expansion and pressure difference under extended operating condition. The axial thermal expansion of rotary piston and shaft is compensated to the floated bearing side by keeping a considerably larger clearance between rotary piston and casing cover.
Synchronizing (Timing) Gears
The Helical Timing Gears are made from drop forged alloy steel of very fine micro structure, machined, hardened and profile ground to a very finer accuracy class. The gears are designed for a higher load and speed, longer life, smooth and frictionless silent operation. The fixing of gears on shaft is done by means of a keyless compression fit through a high pressure of oil injection. The fitment ensures an excellent and accurate rotary motion when in operation. The advantage of repeated (unlimited) timing possibility and a highly reliable positive locking on shaft even at fluctuating and shock loading and frequent start/stop operating condition.
Compression Chamber (Casing)
The casings (standard series) are normally made from very fine grade grey cast iron conforming to national and international standards, but can be supplied in other materials (spl. execution) also. Normally the casings are having integrated casted ribs for faster heat dissipation and for taking care of torsional loads. The inlet and outlet housings are integrated and are having larger area for passivation and pulsation free smooth flow of conveying media. Upto model BR-26.20 the casings are having machined interchangeable machine feet to advantage either flow direction. The sight glass, filling and drain plugs fitted in casing cover are also interchangeable according to flow direction.
